[Abstract]: Hong Kong’s ageing population and tech talent shortage are becoming prime concerns of the industry. With the fast changing environment, it is important to emphasis the training of hard and soft skills of our successors - the Gen Z and Millennials. We need youth leaders who are willing to venture beyond their comfort zone and think out of the box. Therefore, effective training can no longer be confined within the traditional classroom / lab settings. In this talk, the speaker will share his experience about training youth using an integrated approach: theme-based exercises, joint projects with the industry, internship in SME’s, guided tours to Shum Shui Po, setting up outposts in off-grid villages, and overseas exchange in Finland, Canada, UK, Vietnam, Macau, and Guangzhou.
