HKETA Youth Sub-com co-organized with The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Research Institute of Tsinghua University in Shenzhen (深圳清華大學研究院) to organize half-day of industry visit to Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP) for a class of undergraduates from Xidian University (西安电子科技大学) on 29 Jan 2016.   In this event, the students are participated to understand the operation and entrepreneur program of HKSTP.  We also arranged to visit an IC-design based technology company: Minilogic Device Corporation in HKSTP that they shared with our students how to run a tech startup and consequently to make it IPO in Hong Kong.
 

Through the visit and industry sharing, the attendants realized how HKSTP to provide an innovation and technology ecosystem to the tech companies, incubation programme for startups, and nurture technology talents in Hong Kong.  The tech company also shared their entrepreneur process and experience with the students.  It could strengthen the corporation and technology sharing between Mainland China and Hong Kong.

At the end of the event, Derek Lee of our Youth Chairman and WK Lee of HKU/EEE make the conclusion for the young people specially for the current global business situation, challenge and opportunity both in Mainland China and Hong Kong.  Students are required to well prepare for the next wave of economic growth with industrial v4.0 come.
